Recycling Program
The Town of Brigus is excited to launch a recycling program as it aligns so well with our purpose to make the world a better place for children and their families. We want to make this town a cleaner and more environmentally friendly place for all to enjoy. Recycling is very important to that goal. To support our recycling program, there will be bins throughout the community, and recycling will also be accepted at curbside for residents and businesses. This will be on a bi-weekly basis ( date to be announced soon).
How do we recycle? It’s easy. Recyclables that are collected in our community include: plastic bottles, cardboard boxes and metals. The items you cannot recycle include one use plastic bags, foam cups or containers, soiled items or food leftovers, broken glass or items with sharp edges, and some fast food packaging. Please refer to recycling information to see how to begin recycling.
Another important part of recycling is to ensure the items being disposed of are clean and have no leftover food or liquid. These cleaned recyclables can then be placed in a clear bag and placed at curbside or deposited in one of the recycling containers throughout our town.
If you have any questions about recycling, please call the Town Office at 709-528-4588. Information about recycling can also be found at http://mmsb.nl.ca
Please help us become an environmental leader in Conception Bay North by starting recycling today.
